Tackling Food Wastage with Innovation
A five-student team “Foodster” at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) won the championship of the EdUHK-SCMP Innovative and Education Challenge held in June 2019. Its business plan beat the other four contestant teams and impressed the judges with a self-designed app which allows people to buy unsold food from shops at a lower price with an aim to tackle the food waste problem.
Carnival Promotes Special Educational Needs
The Centre for Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Education (CSENIE) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) organised the Support Unit for Special Education Needs (SuSEN) carnival cum public education conference at the TKO Study Centre on 25 May to share the achievements of the three-year Swire Group Charitable Trust donation project and its outcomes with the community.
EdTech Innovations Win Awards at Silicon Valley International Invention Festival
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) gained international recognition once again for its educational technology innovations. In the Silicon Valley International Invention Festival (SVIIF), held from 24 to 26 June 2019 in California, USA, three exhibited educational technologies won a total of four awards: one gold, two silver and one special award.
Alumnus Dr Wang Mo Receives Post-doctoral Fellowship from Peking University
Alumnus Dr Wang Mo of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) has received a post-doctoral fellowship from the China Institute for Educational Finance Research at Peking University. Under the fellowship scheme, he will explore the relationship between educational finance and quality in early childhood education.
QAC Commends EdUHK’s Sub-degree Programmes
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) welcomes the findings of the Audit Report on the University’s sub-degree operations, released by the Quality Assurance Council (QAC) today (26 June). The positive findings affirm the University’s consistent and comprehensive approach to quality assurance, which enables it to meet international standards and the professional requirements for its sub-degree programmes.
