本研究計畫由一群在職業健康、公共衛生、社會不平等和組織心理學等領域具有專業知識的學者領導,旨在了解勞工階層的現狀和需求。本研究期望找出幫助這一弱勢工人群體提升包容性、可持續和生產性就業的策略。

從事初級職業、非技術行業和體力勞動的工人是經濟增長的基礎支柱。然而,他們往往是被忽視的社會成員,領取微薄的薪水、資源和支持,職涯發展和晉升的機會也有限。本計畫旨在識別和研究影響職業發展和滿意度的決定因素。具體來說,本項目涉及一項多階段、多樣本、混合方法進行的研究,透過提出一個綜合模型來實證檢驗職業發展的預測因素、檢查職業發展的軌跡並評估就業培訓課程的效用。目標參與者包括失業或失學並正在接受與就業相關的課程的人士,以及從事初級職業、非技術行業和體力勞動的在職人士。透過了解他們的處境和需求,本計畫將為勞工階級以員工導向的政策提供實際意義,制定可行的解決方案,使工人技能與就業需求相一致,並制定有效的培訓計劃,以提高這一群弱勢勞動力的競爭力和就業能力。
