Interviews on the AI & Education Futures: Vice President (Research and Development), Professor Chetwyn Chan Che-hin
Professor Chan Che-hin, Vice President (Research and Development) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), shared the University’s blueprint for AI research development. He emphasised plans to enhance research capabilities, develop relevant applications, and promote industry-academia-research collaboration to fuel sustainable innovation and intellectual property development.
Through platforms such as the "Centre for Immersive Learning and Metaverse in Education," the "University Research Facility in Data Science and AI," and "Artificial Intelligence (AI) within education", established in collaboration with multiple universities – alongside partnerships with the Hong Kong Science Park’s entrepreneurship and research hubs – EdUHK is committed to deepening the integration of technological innovation and industrial application. This initiative accelerates the industrialisation of research outcomes, implements knowledge transfer, and creates long-term, positive impacts for society.
