Professor Philip Yu Leung-ho, Associate Director of University Research Facility of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence of The Education University of Hong Kong, says that, to address future demands for AI competencies, the development of novel multimodal AI technologies provides students with immediate personalised feedback and alleviates teachers’ workloads, while enhancing teaching quality and efficiency. Crucially, Professor Yu encourages students to design STEM curricula themselves, enabling them to spark interest in AI through hands-on practice, while mastering cutting-edge AI skills to prepare for future challenges.
