The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) welcomes the appointment of Dr David Wong Yau-kar, who will succeed Professor Frederick Ma Si-hang as Council Chairman with effect from 1 January 2021.

EdUHK President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung said, “We are delighted that Dr Wong will take the helm of the University Council, and we have every confidence that the University will continue to go from strength and strength under his chairmanship, given his proven track record in public service.”

Professor Cheung also paid tribute to Professor Ma for his tremendous contributions during his tenure, which has witnessed the University’s growing impact in the local and regional education arena since retitling.
