Welcome New Council Members on Board
Four distinguished individuals and a student representative have been recently appointed to the Council of The Education University of Hong Kong as Deputy Chairman and Members. They are:
Dr Terence Chan Ho-wah Dr Terence Chan is the Chairman of Bay Area Capital Partners Limited, a Hong Kong SFC licensed asset management firm that focuses on private equity investment in the area of real estate & infrastructure asset, property & construction technology, clean energy, fintech, environmental, social and governance (ESG) enhancement and smart cities applications. He has been an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Real Estate and Construction of The University of Hong Kong with main areas of research in cross-border real estate investment, asset securitisation, technology application and sustainable development. | |
Mr Armstrong Lee Hon-cheung Member Mr Armstrong Lee is a seasoned management and HR consultant and Managing Director of Worldwide Consulting Group Company Limited. Mr Lee is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong Education City Limited, a Member of the 6th Election Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Social Welfare Advisory Committee, the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research, the Lump Sum Grant Steering Committee of the Government and the Human Capital Committee of the Financial Services Development Council. | |
Mr Willie Lui Pok-shek, JP Member Mr Willie Lui is an Executive Director of Union Paper Box & Printing Press Limited. He is a current Member of the Advisory Board of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, the Supervisor of TWGHs Lui Yun Choy Memorial College and a Member of Caritas Medical Centre - Hospital Governing Committee. Mr Lui is also active in public services in Hong Kong, previously served as a Member of Appeal Panel (Housing), a Member of Appeal Board Panel (Town Planning), a Member of The Board of Management of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries, a Member of Hong Kong Tuberculosis, Chest and Heart Diseases Association, a Member of Administrative Appeals Board, an Adjudicator of Immigration Tribunal and an Adjudicator of Registration of Persons Tribunal. | |
Ms Winnie Ng, JP Member Ms Winnie Ng is an outstanding female entrepreneur in Hong Kong. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago, and a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard University, where she was a Mason Fellow. Ms Ng is a Director of Transport International Holdings Limited and The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited. She is also an Independent Non-executive Director of Century City International Holdings Limited, Paliburg Holdings Limited and Regal Hotels International Holdings Limited. Ms Ng has received much recognition and numerous awards, including the Outstanding Businesswomen Award in 2019, and was appointed Justice of the Peace in 2017. | |
Miss Lam Sing-loi Student Member Miss Lam is a full-time student of the Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Chinese Language) Programme. She is the Student Council Member nominated by the Selection Panel for Appointment of Student Members to the Council and the Academic Board, and appointed by the Council. |
