The journal Policy and Society: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Policy Research, co-edited by Professor Darryl Jarvis at the Department of Asian and Policy Studies of The Education University of Hong Kong and other scholars around the world, was recently ranked 22nd among 180 journals in Political Science and 11th out of 48 journals in Public Administration and Policy.

The Social Science Citation Index of the Web of Science (Clarivate), which measures the citations and the impact factor (IF) of journals in Social Science, released the latest rankings and IF for 2018-2019. The IF of Policy and Society increased to 3.0. Professor Jarvis noted that the journal has seen a consistent increase in its IF and ranking over the past decade, and that going forward, the editors hope to further increase the IF of the journal.

Professor Jarvis also noted that Policy and Society is a unique, full open access journal for the international policy community. It is the only journal in policy science that publishes themed issues. Scholars are not charged for author publishing charges by the publisher, allowing those from less developed countries and early career researchers to freely publish manuscripts once their papers are accepted after peer review.
