Event Description:
Led by artists from the local bamboo art creative team Zaat Hap, this workshop guides students to hand-weave their own "Peeled Orange Lantern" using bamboo strips. The orange-shaped lantern body is assembled with translucent coloured paper, which can be inscribed and decorated on the surface; when lit, the light and shadow flow like a warm moon in an autumn night. Through weaving and calligraphy, students will experience the beauty of traditional bamboo craftsmanship while appreciating the unique charm of Chinese seasonal culture during the Autumn Equinox, when day and night are equally divided.
